Every company name has an origin story. Some were named after their founders; others were invented artificially or emerged by chance. The fact is that behind every outstanding brand there is a great story or a person who makes the company stand out among competitors and have its devoted followers.
Boko name has a unique story to it. While naming the company we went through more than 50 different name combinations until we went to Europe to spend time with our family, here is how it happened!
Our youngest family member’s name is Bogdan and he was only 4 years old at the time and he was hyperactive! It was summertime and we loved taking him to the park where he would run around, chase birds and butterflies. While he was playing we were on the bench talking about company, our goals, possibilities and of course, the name! At first the idea was to name it after our European company, however, while talking, we heard someone calling Bogdan by his nickname “Boko, Boko!”. We looked at eachother and realized “That is it!” – Boko Designs!
